Springboarding off of the success of last year we have great news!
The Homecoming choir will have our own, concert this year! The concert is currently scheduled for 6-6:25 at the Voinovich Lawn. It will be immediately followed by the 2020 Alumni Auction, with the 2020 AOSFYC preforming at 7. The Alumni will join the current choir closing out the evening with The Battle Hymn of the Republic.
We still need your help to make this choir as large as possible! Please contact Robb Burris (email@example.com or via Social Media) if you’d like to help in reaching out to fellow Alumni.
We will again be hosting a rehearsal Friday evening in the Columbus area to review our pieces with choir staff. Please visit https://www.aosfyc.org/alumniday.html to register and watch for updates as details become available!
Dr. Peterson and Mr. Gallagher have again asked the Alumni Association to assist the current AOSFYC staff with move in day on July, 23, 2020!
Helpers would need to arrive about 5 PM (Singers start moving in at 5:30PM) and will be assigned a job upon arrival.
Specifically, we’re in need of some folks to help carry in luggage to the dorms, help direct families to the correct area and generally be a welcoming face!
We are also continuing the sponsoring of the hospitality table with snacks and water. IF you’d like to donate to the table please contact Jennifer Morrow at Jennkmorrow@gmail.com
The Board is currently in the process of revising and updating our By-Laws. These will be presented at our annual meeting on Alumni Day at 12 Noon at the Choir Rehearsal Tents
We need as many Alumni as possible to be present for this presentation! Please make every effort to attend (bring your lunch, it’s ok!).
The Board has decided it’s time to move our Newsletter to a digital format! We will be using a service called MailChimp to send out the Newsletter! (In fact, you may have received this in your inbox and Mailbox!) This issue and the next will come paper and electronic. following Alumni Day (August 1, 2020) we will move to a digital format.
This has been in discussion for a few years and the decision was made to help minimize cost to the organization and be a little more environmentally friendly
